My adventure with Dalí and Gala in Cadaqués.
My friendship with Salvador and Gala Dalí begon in the winter 1950-
1951 and lasted for more than forty years until Dalí’s death.
This period allowed me to obtain a significantly large chronicle, both in
photographic and film terms. Today, these archives, now in France, in the
United States and in Cadaqués, are a faithful witness to the creative
activity of the great surrealist artist. This is a marvellous selection of
photographs for the Cadaqués exhibition.
Dalí and I went on with experiences and with the photographic setting of
themes for his paintings. It was then when he decided to continue his
daily chronicles in Cadaqués. Said and done. My first stay was in August
1955. I spent long months beside the artist for thirty springs, summers
and autumns.
